Hand in hand to Touch a Heart

(joint club project - Dist 313 and 315 - India)

IW Club Pune Riverside (Dist 313 ) and IW Club Secunderabad (Dist 315) joined hands to bring cheer to girls of a rural orphanage run by the iconic Sindhu Tai Sapkal - ‘Mother of Orphans’ - who takes care of over 1000 orphan children, providing them good ‘Sanskar’ and a good education as well as fulfilling all their basic needs. This ‘Modern Social Indian Hero’ was conferred a D.Litt. by the D.Y. Patil Institute, Pune, in 2016.

Hand in Hand to Touch A Heart

PDC Manikji Shyamlal of Dist. 315, Club President Swarnalata and Secretary Meena Gupta donated over a 100 pairs of new clothes for the children and, jointly with IWC Pune Riverside, donated money towards their education. This was the second joint project between the two clubs this year, when, in August, financial aid was jointly given to a school for children of rape victims run by two daredevil young ladies of the NGO ‘Kruti’ in Hyderabad.

These projects have built a bridge of friendship between the two Clubs and the two Districts.
