Times Women’s Drive is organised every year by the Times of India; in collaboration with the Indian Automotive Racing Club, for the cause of raising funds for breast and cervical cancer aid and awareness across India.

President Shilpa Ajani, Past President Bijal Kalbag and Immediate Past President Deval Shah of Inner Wheel Club of Bombay Seacoast, District 314-India, have added a glorious feather to the crown of the global Inner Wheel community. On 29th of April, 2018, this team successfully completed the two-day Times Women’s Drive from Mumbai to Goa; in their maiden attempt and also won “The Best Dressed Team” - Mumbai Award!

In the 9-year history of this drive, team IWC of Bombay Seacoast is the first and the only team to have ever represented the Inner Wheel at this magnificent Time-Speed-Distance rally. This drive has been featured thrice in the Limca Book of Records and is certified by Guinness Book as the largest women’s car rally in the world! 527 cars from the four cities of Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru and Hyderabad participated in this drive this year.

Team IWC of Bombay Seacoast had the theme, ‘CRIME AGAINST WOMEN’ at the centre of their social message. Their amazing attire, partially represented a lawyer, battling for justice and partially symbolised-Devi ‘Shakti’, the Goddess of Power, delivering punishment to evildoers. It made the threesome look like a perfect picture of woman enlightenment and empowerment, which are at the heart of this drive. No wonder then that they emerged as the “Best Dressed Team- Mumbai”, creating a tradition to be nourished and leaving a legacy to be cherished!
