Tatton Flower Show

Last week the RHS (Royal Horticultural Society) Flower Show was held at Tatton Park near Altrincham, celebrating its 20th anniversary.

Not to be left out, the area of Altrincham where IIW HQ is located held a floral competition for local businesses that coincided with the show.

RMS (a PR, Marketing and Design Company), our neighbour in the building, bravely decided to enter the competition on our building’s behalf and liven up our front garden by providing their interpretation of the brief.

Why the “Alternative Market Trader”?

The IIW HQ is in the office block next door to the old Town Hall and opposite the even older Market Hall, where there has been a market for many, many years.   To celebrate the market town tradition of Altrincham a bronze statue of a Market Trader has stood in the Town Hall gardens since 2008.

RMS created their Alternative Market Trader by taking inspiration from the bronze statue, our location and from the British tradition in summertime, to make scarecrows to protect the crops from birds.

Our building didn't win the first prize for floral art, but it did raise smiles from people walking past the offices!
